Fix a translation, add a clearer example, or change the pronunciation guide on a card you already have. You can edit the text without creating a new card. Adding or generating an image requires Flexi Premium.
Change a card

Open the deck that contains the card, then open the card.

Tap Edit.

Tap the field you want to change and edit its text.

Tap Save on iOS or Save card on Android.
If Flexi asks you to identify the word or phrase in your example, tap the matching word or words. Then tap Done on iOS or Confirm on Android to finish saving.
The card now shows your saved changes. Translation is required when saving a card. See How AI creates your cards for how it guides generated content.
Choose what to change

Word is the word or phrase you are learning.

Translation is its meaning in your translation language.

Part of speech identifies how the word is used, such as a noun or a verb.

Pronunciation is a written guide to how the word sounds.

Example shows the word in a sentence.

Definition explains its meaning.
Keep the card’s fields focused on the meaning you want to learn.
You can type your own example, definition, or pronunciation. To generate new text, tap the generate button beside the field where available, then check the result before saving. Remove any text you do not want to keep.
Adjust the pronunciation guide
To correct one card, edit its Pronunciation field and save.
You can write your own pronunciation guide in any language. Automatic generation is available for selected languages and uses a language-specific writing system. See Learning and translation languages for the supported languages and systems.
Add or replace an image
With Flexi Premium, open the card's editor and go to Image. Choose the option to generate an image or upload one of your own. Check the image, then save the card.
A card has one image; you can replace or remove it in the editor. See How AI creates your cards for how the translation and example guide image generation.
If generating a new image fails, try again when your internet connection is working. If a saved image is not loading, check your connection before replacing it.
FAQ
Can I edit a card before adding it?
Yes. Open Edit on a suggested card, make your changes, then tap Done to return to the suggestions. You still need to add the card to save it in your deck.
Does changing the written pronunciation change audio settings?
No. The Pronunciation field is a written guide; editing it does not change the audio settings. Audio uses the deck’s learning language and, where available, its dialect setting. See Audio and translations.
Can I hide translations while studying?
Yes. Use the deck’s settings to hide translations during study. The saved Translation field is still required. If a card has no definition, example, or image to show as the answer, Flexi keeps its translation visible.
