Use Quick Notes to save a word or phrase when you do not want to make a card straight away. When you are ready, choose a deck, turn the note into card suggestions, and add the cards you want.

Quick Notes are in the Notes tab. You need a deck before you can turn a note into cards.

Save a note

1. Open Notes.

2. On iOS, tap Add. On Android, tap the plus button or Add note.

3. In New note, type the word or phrase you want to keep.

4. Tap Add on iOS or Save on Android.

Your note appears in the Notes list. It is a reminder to make a card later; saving the note alone does not add a study card to your deck.

Turn the note into cards

1. In Notes, open the note.

2. Select the deck where you want to add the cards. Choose the deck for the language you want to practise.

3. Tap Convert to flashcard.

4. Review the suggested cards. If a card needs a correction, edit the card, then return to the suggestions.

5. Tap Add card for one card, or select the cards you want and tap Add selected.

The saved cards are now in your selected deck. Flexi removes the original note after you successfully add the cards.

If Flexi reports an error deleting the note after saving your cards, delete the note from Notes. You do not need to convert it again.

Delete a note you no longer need

On iOS, use the note's delete action in the Notes list, or open the note and choose Delete.

On Android, use the note's trash control. To remove several notes together, select them and choose Delete selected.

Delete only notes you no longer want to turn into cards.

Add a note faster on iOS

Add the Quick note widget to your iOS Home Screen to open a new note quickly. You can also use Flexi’s Add Note action in Apple’s Shortcuts or Siri. Return to Notes in Flexi when you are ready to turn the note into cards.
