Duplicate checks

Duplicate checks now look across your decks, recognizing different word forms and meanings instead of exact matches in one deck. Open a Duplicate warning to review existing cards before saving another, helping you avoid repeated vocabulary.

Similar cards

Choose Find similar on a card to explore related vocabulary across your decks. See up to 20 matches with their words, translations and deck names, and open any card to compare its details without searching each deck separately.

More control over topic suggestions

Replace selected topic suggestions with words at the same, easier or harder level. Flexi avoids repeats within the current session and flags matches in your decks, which you can inspect or deselect together before creating cards. Requires Premium.

More details in bulk creation

Cards from topics or word lists can include part of speech and written pronunciation in supported languages, alongside examples and definitions. Choose which fields to generate for the set. Topics require Premium; your own word lists remain free.

CSV export

Export and share decks as CSV files. Both import and export support written pronunciation and part of speech alongside your cards’ core text fields, so more vocabulary details travel with the file.

Choose the meanings you need

Enter a word or short expression to generate complete card options. Compare its different meanings, edit the details and choose which to study. Save one card or add several selected meanings to your deck together.

Part of speech

Generated cards now show a part of speech, such as noun, verb or adjective. See the grammatical role alongside the meaning, especially when a word has several uses.

Written pronunciation

Add written pronunciation to new cards: IPA for English, Spanish, German, Dutch, Czech, Finnish and Romanian; kana for Japanese; Pinyin or Zhuyin for Mandarin; and Jyutping for Cantonese. Read the guide alongside the word and meaning.

Redesigned deck settings

Find review options, new-card limits and learning preferences in a clearer layout. Choose which fields are generated automatically for each deck: examples, definitions, written pronunciation and part of speech. Pronunciation is available for supported languages.

Guided setup

Choose your study and translation languages, level, learning goals and daily goal during setup. Use these preferences to get started with relevant vocabulary and create your first cards before finishing onboarding.

Ready-made vocabulary

Browse more than 2,000 ready-made English flashcards by topic and CEFR level, from A1 to B2. Start with vocabulary that matches your level or interests instead of creating every card yourself. Full catalog access requires Premium.

Bulk card actions

Select several cards in a deck and copy them to another deck or delete them together, without repeating the same action for each card.

Anki import

Import an Anki .apkg file, choose note and card types where needed, map fields and preview the result. Basic import is free. Premium adds one image per card and study progress when the export contains it.

Quizlet import

Export one of your own original Quizlet sets as text and paste it into Flexi. Use one card per line, with a tab between term and definition. Vocabulary text is imported; images and study progress are not.

CSV import

Import words, translations, definitions and examples from a CSV file prepared in a spreadsheet. Each import creates new cards rather than updating existing ones. Images are not included.
